JOB SUMMARY:

APSCO is seeking a results-driven Regional Sales Manager to oversee sales operations in the state of Texas and surrounding areas. The Regional Territory Sales Manager reports to the Vice President of Sales and is responsible for identifying and developing new business and relationships with OEM’s and distributors across a range of mobile equipment and other related market segments; to produce profitable, sustainable sales volume.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, vendors, co-workers and management.
  • Support all specified region APSCO customers before, during and after sales to assure the highest level of responsiveness and quality experience with the Company while conforming to the Company’s procedures and the Quality Manual.
  • Maintain network of contacts in specified industries for the purposes of finding project leads, indentifying market trends and having general and detailed knowledge of markets.
  • Schedule, facilitate and lead presentations to customers.
  • Attend industry trade shows and conferences to establish industry contacts, develop expertise and proactively develop leads domestically and internationally. Support the installation and teardown of trade show booths.
  • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
  • Cold calls, as appropriate, within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Use knowledge of the market and competitors, identify success factors and service requirements and incorporate into well-conceived account plans.
  • Works to become expert in product application in their industry/segment.
  • Generate comprehensive technical quotations.
  • Create and develop internal and external communications related to business development.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
  • Collaborate effectively with various functional teams including Engineering/Product Development and Operations teams to ensure seamless implementation and effective ongoing account growth.
  • Utilize Salesforce trip reports, sales reports, and activity summaries to keep management informed of sales progress.
  • Assists in the collection of past due accounts.
  • Stay current on competitive moves by competitors, products, applications and general market status.
  • Communication tactfully and effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Contact and communicate with prospects to explain features and benefits of products and services offered.
  • Close transactions and take orders.
  • Provide ongoing forecasts for opportunities and customer usage.
  • Assure that all orders reflect the intent of the customer, and communicated to production to support accurate production priorities and delivery expectations.
  • Provide technical assistance and product education for customers to assure that APSCO products retain a high quality image including:
    • Support for appropriate product selection and ordering
    • Assistance for installation questions and problems
    • Identification of probable cause for product malfunction
    • Troubleshooting
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Goal oriented - Proven track record of growth and profitability
  • Pricing responsibilities


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Require Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Business degree acceptable with strong hydraulic/pneumatic systems experience demonstrated.
  • 5+ Years Sales Experience Hydraulics/manufacturing/OEM Manufacturer to Manufacturer
  • Prefer Certified Fluid Power Specialist - CFPS
  • Knowledge of the Hydraulics/manufacturing/OEM Manufacturing industry in Texas and surrounding areas is a significant advantage
  • Willingness to travel within the region and occasionally to surrounding areas required


TRAVEL PERCENTAGE:
Heavy, 50%+


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Light physical effort required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about facility. Must be capable of local, domestic, and international travel.
